Field Technician

Hifi is seeking Field Technicians to join their Deployment team.

Job Summary

The Field Technician role is to support the deployment and installation activity of Hifi’s fiber optic technology both in the field and in Hifi’s shop.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Performing various labour activities for installing and preparing specialized material and equipment
• Working with various specialized pieces equipment of the purpose of installing and testing fiber optics
• Field work requirement, with field bonus applicable
• Moving tools, equipment and other materials for warehousing purposes
• Light maintenance of machines and equipment
• Experience in the Construction or Energy industries an asset
• Mechanically inclined, able to work with hand tools and some power tools
• Minimum high school diploma with 1 year working experience; University or college preferred
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test as well as random alcohol or drug test
• Must be dependable with excellent attention to detail
• Must demonstrate a professional attitude and ability to work in a team environment with fellow employees
• H2S and first aid or other field type tickets an asset
• Experience with commercial vehicles, construction equipment or machinery is an asset
