Bill Hull graduated in 1971 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and for the next 20 years was involved in oilfield service and supply ventures. From 1993 to 2006 he built a chain of successful private retail liquor stores, and in partnership with 6 other retailers, founded the Liquor Barn Income Trust in 2006.
Bill is currently a director of Tommy Guns Investment Group Inc. and Chatters Beauty Group Inc., both based in Red Deer, Alberta, He is president of 67th Street Holdings Limited with investments in real estate and private equity ventures.
He is a Past President and Life Director of the Westerner Exposition Association, Founder and Past President of the Alberta Liquor Store Association and was named to the Natural Resources Conservation Board. He served three consecutive terms as Alderman for the City of Red Deer, retiring voluntarily in 2002.
Bill is the recipient of the W.Boyd McFetridge Distinguished Volunteer Award for work with the CNIB, Her Majesty The Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal, and the Alberta Centennial Medal. He was chosen as one of 100 Centennial Ambassadors during Alberta’s Centennial in 2005.
Bill is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors and the Rotary Club of Red Deer.
