Hifi Hosts Catherine McKenna, Canada’s Environment Minister

Honored to have hosted Canada’s Environment Minister, Catherine McKenna at the GE Innovation Center, along with her staff and executive guests from the pipeline industry, to see Hifi’s fiber optic based preventative pipeline leak detection technology.

Today’s #CleanTech spotlight is on Hifi Engineering.

Hifi Engineering is an Canadian company who develops software to detect leaks in pipelines.

Did you know that 99.999% of oil in Canada is moved safely? In this video, you will see – as soon as a leak is found, alarms sound and the control centre can pin point the exact location of the break. With over $106 billion/year being the value of energy products transported via pipeline in Canada, this technology is extremely important to our economy.

They are a great example of a made-in-Canada clean technology solution that is growing the economy and protecting the environment!
