Hifi Engineering hosts former Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall
Hifi was proud to host the former Premier of Saskatchewan Brad Wall for a demonstration of its High Fidelity Dynamic Sensing technology at the GE Innovation Centre in Calgary.
During the visit, Hifi provided an overview of how its fiber optic sensing system operates across pipeline infrastructure. The technology is designed to continuously measure changes along the pipeline and provide detailed information about conditions using acoustic, temperature, strain, and vibration data. This enables operators to gain a clearer understanding of activity along the line and improves visibility into how pipelines are performing over time.
The demonstration also showcased how the system can support monitoring in complex environments where multiple external factors may be present. By analyzing patterns in the collected data, the platform can distinguish between normal operational activity and events that may require attention. This level of insight is valuable for both day to day operations and long term asset management.
The visit provided an opportunity to highlight the growing role of advanced sensing technologies in supporting pipeline reliability. It also demonstrated how solutions developed in Canada are contributing to innovation within the broader energy sector.
